When the Milwuakee JCC put out a call for art about books depicting Israeli soldiers' experiences i knew i had to create this print. The book “Pumpkin Flowers” by Matti Friedman, depicts young Israeli, inexperienced soldiers posted to a remote Israeli location near the Syrian border. Their boredom is ongoing until one day they are besieged by gun fire and a battalion of Syrian soldiers.
